Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT)

DPTs have gone to school and graduated from accredited doctorate programs and are licensed to practice in the state of Utah. You will see one of them and will be evaluated on your initial visit and on many subsequent visits. They are also able to stretch, execute manual techniques, and progress exercise programs for you.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

PTAs have gone to school and graduated from accredited programs and are licensed to practice in the state of Utah. In a setting like ours, PTAs are able to perform many of the same functions as DPTs. They are able to stretch, execute many manual techniques, and progress exercise programs for you. They work very closely with the DPTs as an integral part of a treatment team.

Aides

Aides have received on-site training for the use of modalities and execution of exercises. On a typical visit an aide will help get you warmed up and relaxed with modalities before you see a therapist. We will discuss the modalities in a moment. The aides can also help you through exercises and can help point you to where you need to go.
